Europe is in a need of united MTB organisation that would stand for access advocacy, responsible riding, landscape stewardship and sustainable trails.

The representatives of European MTB advocacy organisations together with their colleagues from IMBA in the U.S.A. have been communicating with each other for quite some time now.

During autumn 2008 they met in London and started to prepare the launch of IMBA Europe. In May 2009 they met again at an Opening Meeting in the Czech Republic. In summer 2010 the advocates met in Livigno.

Primary goal now is to found IMBA Europe as a legal entity for 2010 and to raise funds for its start up.

In September 1-4, 2010, IMBA Europe will be present at Eurobike (www.eurobike-show.de).
