IMBA Europe advocates the development of sustainable trails which connect people to landscapes, places and habitats without impacting negatively on them.
Accessibility
IMBA Europe believes that sustainable trails, including singletrack trails, should be accessible to mountain bikers, regardless of their age, gender, race or economic status. A range of sustainable recreational trails should be available to locals and visitors alike.
Responsibility
IMBA Europe accepts the responsibility for the future of recreational mountain biking in Europe. IMBA Europe will contribute expertise in trail planning, design, construction and management.
IMBA Europe will provide guidance and help to national MTB advocacy associations and other bodies to promote and deliver sustainable mountain biking.
IMBA Europe will promote responsible trail use among mountain bikers and other trail users.
Leadership
IMBA Europe will lead the process of creating a European-wide MTB advocacy movement. IMBA Europe will lead the effort of elaborating expertise in trail planning, design, construction and management.
IMBA Europe will promote the positive image sustainable mountain biking to land management authorities, experts, policy makers, politicians, mountain bikers, other trail users, and the general public.
