2nd European MTB Guide & Instructor Meeting

The first European MTB Guide/Instructor meeting that was held in Davos last September, will get a sequel in Ramatuelle, France, as part of IMBA Europe's annual summit. The Davos meeting was the first time experts and developers of trainings programs across Europe worked together and shared their knowledge and experience for a greater purpose:

  • An improved status & public image of MTB guides and instructors throughout Europe
  • Freedom of movement
  • Creation of a community of guides/ instructors (having colleagues in cool places and work with them)
  • Convenience and quality assurance for employers
  • Safety for the consumer

At the 2nd MTB Guide/Instructor meeting, the road (trail) towards a EU framework will be continued. The meeting takes place on Monday 20th of April, subsequent IMBA Europe's Summit.


7.30 – 8.30      Breakfast

8.45 – 9.30      Update outcomes 1st MTB Guide & Instructor Summit Davos (2014)  & explanation of the project for interested organisations

9.30 - 9.45      Short break (after the program continues for those organisations who are involved in the development of the EU framework)

9.45 - 10.15     Introduction and short presentation programs new members MTB Guide / Instructor group

10.15 - 11.00    Explanation LLL Sports Strategy (includes the formation of subgroups and distribution of work)

11.00 - 11.30    Presenting first results working group Single Trail Scale 

11.30 - 12.30    Break and lunch

12.30 – 14.30    Occupational standards, qualifications & learning outcomes : next steps towards a comparison model of MTB Guide & Instructor 

programs across Europe

14.30 - 15.00   Wrap up 2nd EU MTB G&I Summit
