European MTB Guide & Instructor Summit

The city of Davos will host the first European MTB Guide & Instructor Summit from the 26th – 28th of September. The event is initiated by IMBA Europe, Swiss Cycling and Moniteur Cycliste Français (MCF).Main objective is to bring experts (trainers) and developers of existing (national) MTB guide, instructor or leadership programs for the first time together to discuss and develop a  future European (legal) framework for mountain bike guide and instructor certification. 

Global program 

Friday 26.09.2014:  

•    Arrival in the alpine resort of Davos after 18.00 
(Shuttle leaves from Zürich Airport and Zürich Central Station organized by Swiss Cycling)

Saturday 27.09.2014: 

•    Welcome speech by Mark Torsius of IMBA Europe
•    Announcement of the goals of the Summit 
•    Short-presentation of each program by their countries representative
•    Discussion and agreement on a common job decription
•    Riding in the late afternoon with a special dinner

Sunday 28.09.2014

•    Discussion about the lowest training standard to meet the requirement acording to the common job discription
•    Riding the nice Trails of Davos

Event fee: €130,-

Participation organisations include: Moniteur Cycliste Francais, Swiss Cycling, Deutsche Alpen Verein, Deutsche Initiative Mountain Bike, NTFU, British Cycling. 

Joining Ride Kongress in Chur

Three days later, from 02-04 October,  the Ride Mountainbike Congress will be held in the nearby town of Chur. People staying on for this MTB Tourism Event will be offered a special program. www.ridekongress.ch
