Viana do Castelo City Council and the European Network of Outdoor Sports (ENOS) are delighted to invite you to the Outdoor Sports Euro'Meet which will take place from 24 to 26 of September 2019. This great conference is a must for those who are in charge of outdoor and general sports development in Europe. For those who are looking for innovative ways to get people and communities more active especially through being outdoors.
Outdoor sports are growing in popularity all across Europe and can make a real difference to an individual’s health and especially the mental well-being. It can create opportunities for employments and has had a long and very positive influence on education and youth services. The Euro’meet will not just focus on how such benefits can be optimized but will also provide insights on how these can be integrated into European and National Sports Policies.
Addressed at the event with experts from different European countries will be the four main themes:
1. #BeActive, Be Healthy, Be Outdoors
2. Blue Growth
3. Urban Outdoor
4. Inclusive Outdoor
In addition we will have poster presentations, networking, outdoor sports experiences #BeActive.
For this significant event, all the main partners of ENOS will be present: EUROPARC federation, European Outdoor Group (EOG), International Sport and Culture Association (ISCA), Ruralité Environnement Developpement (RED), partners of the House of Sports in Brussel.
Call for Speakers
The European Network of Outdoor Sports is seeking for speakers who are highly articulate, enthusiastic, motivational, engaging and can present on projects that are both innovative and inspirational. Projects may come from academic research or highlight practical programmes and good examples from the field. The deadline for abstract submission is the 17th of May 2019. Speakers must show how their presentation topci relates to one of the 4 main conference themes.
The Outdoor Sports Euro´Meet 2019 is organized by European Network of Outdoor Sports (ENOS), Viana do Castelo City Council, Portuguese Institute of Sports and Youth, Regional Tourism Authority of Porto and Norte, Sports and Leisure Superior School and Surf Clube de Viana.
