First EWS Race of this year in Zermatt

After months of event cancellations, there’s a bit of light at the end ot the tunnel. Zermatt will kick off the first Enduro World Series round of this year on Saturday the 29th and Sunday the 30th of August. The EWS first touched ground in Zermatt in 2019 where the race was combined with the TRAILLOVE Festival. COVID-19 is making it difficult to organize events so to be able to host the races, including the EWS E-Series, the Festival activites in town will be reduced. The same counts for the expo in order to meet the COVID-guidelines of the Swiss government.  The EWS / TRAILLOVE organisation committee can still use some volunteers to assist during the races. It’s the best option to get close (but not too close) to the action and volunteers will have some time during the day to explore some of the fine trails around Zermatt with majestic views of the Matterhorn and surrounding glaciers. Each volunteer will receive a Peak Pass for the days they are volunteering and a volunteer gift bag. More info about joining the volunteer crew can be found on the TRAILLOVE festival website Schedule: Saturday August 29th EWS Training | EWS kids Sunday August 30th Enduro World Series Round 1 Fore more information about the EWS and the event calendar for the remaing part of 2020, please visit www.enduroworldseries.com
