How to get there

By Car

 

Boltaña, located in the heart of the Aragonese Pyrenees, is well connected by road to the main cities:

  • From Zaragoza (2h 15min, 180 km)
  • Take the A-23 to Huesca and then the N-240 to Barbastro. From there, follow the A-138 toward Aínsa and the A-1604 to Boltaña.
  • From Barcelona (3h 30min, 290 km)
  • Follow the AP-2 to Lleida and then the N-240 to Barbastro. From there, continue on the A-138 to Aínsa and the A-1604 to Boltaña.
  • From San Sebastián/Bilbao (4h 30min, 300-350 km)
  • Take the A-15 to Pamplona, ​​then take the A-21 and N-240 towards Jaca and continue on the N-260 towards Boltaña.
  • From France
  • Via the Bielsa-Aragnouet tunnel, just 60 km from Boltaña, accessed via the D173 and D118 from the French side.

By air

 

The international airport with the highest volume of flights is Barcelona-El Prat Airport , 3 hours and 30 minutes from Boltaña, and it is our recommended option since, since the organization of the IMBA 2025 summit, we will be offering the public the option of booking a transfer to Boltaña.

Toulouse Airport, located 3 hours from Boltaña, is a good option, but in this case, you’ll need to rent a car to get to Boltaña, as there is no direct public transport connection and no shuttle service.

Finally, the small Zaragoza airport , 2 hours and 15 minutes from Boltaña, offers direct flights to some European capitals, but it will also be essential to manage your trip to Boltaña independently.
