Build Organize a women’s-only trail volunteer day. Give them an opportunity to learn about trail maintenance and proper tool use, then get dirty supporting their favorite trail. Consider that attendees may have young children and offer an option to show up for a few hours, rather than requiring they attend an all-day event deep in the backcountry. Of course you could join one of the Take Care of Your Trails events as well!LearnHost a women’s-only skills night or advocacy talk. It can be as simple as how to do bike maintenance. Or, give a presentation about how to get more involved in trails and outdoor recreation in their community. How can women mountain bikers advocate for more resources, access, youth programming and more where they live? EngageHost a women’s night at a local bike shop.
