From 2 to 3 October 2014, the mountain bike world meets for the second time in Chur. The Ride Mountain Bike Congress 2014 will be even better than last year. International, more comprehensive, more exciting and interactive. This year's motto is "Supersize MTB" and several distinguished speakers will present current topics and exciting projects for mountain tourism. Among the guests are Tom "Pro" Prochazka with a presentation on the Whistler Bike Park and the MTB network organizations IMBA Europe and DIMB. The aim of the congress is to strengthen mountain biking as a sport and above all as the tourism sector and to further promote the development of the most popular summer sport in the Alps.
This year, every presentation will be linked to an afternoon workshop which enables the participant to get a better understanding of the theme. Discussion will be drawn upon questions like 'how can we grow teh sport of mountain biking at the grassroots/community level? How will mountiain bike specific infrastructure develop in the future? How can we inspire more women to start biking? How will the sport of mountain biking develop within the overall context of different sports? Take a look at the full program here.
The Ride Mountain Conference is organized by Chur Tourism in cooperation with the largest Swiss Mountain Ride Magazine. The event is made possible by the support of the cantonal project graubündenKULTUR bike and other partners, like IMBA Europe.
