Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day 2015: A day of smiling faces
12 November 2015

There’s nothing more rewarding than a smiling face of a kid riding a mountain bike in the outdoors. That’s why we love Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day so much. It’s one of those events where ‘we’ adults can share or passion for mountain biking with the next generation. Inspiring the next generation is something we could and should do on at least a weekly bases but it’s good to have a joint celebration once a year. We’re happy to see more clubs and groups hosting a Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day each year in Europe. And we’re also glad to see more kids initiative across Europe. Whether it’s a school competion, a nature ride or a skills camps, kids are the future of our sport and we should work to increase their participation.IMBA Europe’s MTB survey showed that for most people, mountain biking is part of their second (or third) sports carreer. The average age we discover mountain biking is 24. That means we missed at least 16-18 years of great riding and mountain bike adventures. So start early, buy your kids a mountain bike at a very young age and turn a smile on their face over and over again:-) (Pssss… there will be a spring edition of TKMBD in 2016!)[[{“type”:”media”,”view_mode”:”media_responsive”,”fid”:”492″,”attributes”:{“alt”:””,”class”:”media-image”,”style”:”max-width: 680px;”,”width”:”100%”}}]][[{“type”:”media”,”view_mode”:”media_responsive”,”fid”:”493″,”attributes”:{“alt”:””,”class”:”media-image”,”style”:”max-width: 680px;”,”width”:”100%”}}]][[{“type”:”media”,”view_mode”:”media_responsive”,”fid”:”494″,”attributes”:{“alt”:””,”class”:”media-image”,”style”:”max-width: 680px;”,”width”:”100%”}}]][[{“type”:”media”,”view_mode”:”media_responsive”,”fid”:”495″,”attributes”:{“alt”:””,”class”:”media-image”,”style”:”max-width: 680px;”,”width”:”100%”}}]]
