Take care of your trails weekend
19 April 2016

There are various reasons why we love Scotland as riding destinations. Not only because of its stunning scenery, amazing trails and bike facilities, but also because of its vibrant mtb culture and many trail care groups. For that rreason, DMBinS coordinates this years’s ‘Scottish Take Care of Your Trails weekend. On the weekend of Saturday 23rd & Sunday 24th April 2016, the Scottish ‘Take Care of Your Trails’ weekend will take place with trail repair groups from the Highlands to the Tweed Valley joining forces as part of a nationwide, coordinated weekend of volunteer-based trail maintenance events. The aim of the campaign is to nationally promote the fantastic work which the mountain biking community contributes to trail repair work across Scotland and to get more people involved in helping out with the maintenance of their local trails.Trail maintenance events will be taking place at various locations across Scotland over the weekend on 23rd/24th April 2016. There will be a range of tasks to suit all ages and abilities so everyone is welcome. For locations and booking information, visit www.dmbins.com/takecareofyourtrailsThe initiative even crossed the borders. DIMB, the Germann MTB advocacy group, initiated a Trailplege Wochende at the same time as their Scottisch friends. And what about the Brigades Vertes in France? Active all year round, reparing trails and collecting waste. Great to see such initiatives grow across Europe. Keep the good work up and don’t forget to spend some hours on trail maintenance yourself this year![[{“type”:”media”,”view_mode”:”media_responsive”,”fid”:”574″,”attributes”:{“alt”:””,”class”:”media-image”,”style”:”max-width: 225px;”,”width”:”100%”}}]]
