Upcoming events: World Summit, Eurobike and Ride MTB Kongress Chur

No reason to get bored  upcoming months. After IMBA Europe’s Summit in Cercedilla, IMBA’s renowned World Summit is about to kick off in Steamboat Springs, Colorado from 20 – 24 of August. The biennial event brings together mountain bike enthusiasts, volunteers, trail builders and thought leaders with bike industry representatives, land managers and government officials from across the U.S. and around the world. The summit is a unique opportunity for people to share ideas, learn new things and ride great trails in a beautiful destination. EurobikeMeet IMBA Europe at the biggest European trade show for the cycling industry. Just like last year, you can find us at the booth of our German member organization, Deutsche Initiative Mountain Bike (Foyer West, stand FW-203).  DIMB is Germany’s leading mountain bike advocacy association, putting innumerable (volunteer) hours in campaigning, lobbying for trail access , development of new flow trails and great riding activities like the NaturRide program for kids. This year, our Italian member Happy Trail mtb will be present on Thursday and Friday. Beppe Salerno, representing Happy Trail mtb, will be available to meet and discuss future implementation of IMBA values, objectives and activities in Italy with interested Italian MTB associations and industry stakeholders. To register and to receive the program please write to: ed@singletracktorino.it or marco@happytrailmtb.it Check our website and Facebook account for more Eurobike updates .Ride Mountain Bike Kongress ChurOctober 2-3, the mountain bike tourism industry will be gather in Chur (CH) for the 2nd Ride Mountain Bike Kongress.  The 2014 edition will be more international, comprehensive and interactive than last year.” Supersize mountain biking “ is the new motto. Special guest is Tom ‘Pro’ Prochazka, one of the founding fathers of Whistler Bike Park. Tom will share his knowledge regarding the construction and operation of Whistler Bike Park and how the town of Whistler became the Mecca of mountain biking. Plenary sessions and workshops will address subjects like MTB infrastructure, community building, women on bikes and  brand management of  mountain bike destinations. Local communities, tourism agencies, land managers, forestry services, the bicycle industry and other experts in the field of mountain biking tourism are invited to attend the Ride Kongress and discuss future developments of mountain biking. Just like last year, IMBA Europe will be partner of the Ride Congress.  For registration options, program, speakers and more, check the Ride MTB Kongress website.
